The line runs beside a river, with water visible through breaks in the trees and leaves covering the surrounding ground. The train forms a narrow moving line against the woodland, while the rails continue into the distance along the river. The scene combines railroad, forest, river, trees, and water in one continuous landscape, with the overhead view emphasizing the route and its position between the woods and river. The surrounding landscape remains densely wooded throughout the visible route.
