A single autumn tree stands in the middle of a golden field, with the horizon visible beyond it. Its leaves mark the seasonal setting, while the open ground extends broadly around the trunk. Above the landscape, clouds spread across the evening sky and allow warm sunshine from the setting sun to reach the field. The composition remains open and quiet, joining the tree, autumn colors, distant horizon, and natural surroundings in one wide unobstructed landscape. The tree remains the central vertical form against the low horizon under the cloudy sky.
